Ta ra, hello!
At least now it’s official.
Ta ra, Trent.
He’ll be fine and so will we. And that’s probably what hurts: this could have been special. At least from our eyes.
It’s going to be a summer of change. Not only with adidas and incoming players to replace outgoing ones but for supporters as well; for us.
This is our final season at Joxer Daly’s.
It’s difficult to say aloud but it’s something that those of us who go the pub every week have known and maybe wanted for some time.
Eugene and the hardworking staff, from the bar to the kitchen, have done their best to make this our home and while perfect doesn’t exist, there were many times that they got close enough for us. 12 years is a long time to spend in a place, thick and thin crowds, feast and famine.
Our new home isn’t new and is down the road. It’s the same place that we’ve been to on several occasions and that has helped us with overflow since day one in 2013: The Irish Times.
So it’s back to a pub. Back to 100% LFC exclusively.
Nevertheless, it’s only a location. Home is where and when we are together. It’s the work we put in; our collective labor of love, through the thick and thin.
Tomorrow will be by us, for us.
